The Raj Palace Hotel in Jaipur, India is a sight to behold. This castle is almost 3 centuries old when Princess Jayendra Kumari Ji led the restoration in 1995. After around 110,000-square feet of covered area renovated, 7 million man hours, 50,000-square feet stucco restoration, 50,000 square feet of hand painting and 8000 square feet of gold foiling, the mansion (renamed as the Raj Palace Hotel) was re-launched in 1997.

Many of the elements of the castle were preserved, along with 28 suites and 38 majestic rooms, all of which overlook the gardens. Guests can choose from three types of lodging: Presidential, Palatial and Prestige. Shahi Mahal Presidential Suite is a four-storey apartment fit for royalty. It includes 16,000 square feet of living space, a private entrance, an elevator, and its own roof terrace and swimming pool. This presidential suite houses four bedrooms, a large living room, dining room and plenty of gold and silver accents from the furniture down to fabric. Each room is also finished with priceless artworks

The first floor of this Shahi Mahal Presidential Suite at Raj Palace Hotel has a storage area for luggage, and a bar-equipped lounge. The second floor, which was where former ruler Maharaja resided, boasts of a view of the Charbagh gardens and private passage connection to various pavilions. Here, guests will also be able to view items from the museum of the Old Throne and Bolsters of The Thakur Sahib (king or Maharajah).

The third floor of Shahi Mahal Presidential Suite at Raj Palace Hotel has a massive dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen, another bedroom and a library. The fourth floor provides a stunning view of the city and is where a small Jacuzzi, pool, lounge seats, and study area is located.
